Job Title: Digital Creator & Social Media Specialist
Reports To: National Sales Manager – Agric
Duty station: Kigunga – Mukono Office
Job purpose:
This role combines expertise in visual design with a strong understanding of social media trends to create compelling graphics, campaigns, and content that engage our audience and elevate our brand presence across platforms.
The ideal candidate is a skilled designer with a passion for storytelling through visuals and a knack for crafting shareable, platform-specific content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality graphics, including social media posts, banners, infographics, ads, and promotional materials, aligned with brand guidelines.
- Develop and execute creative social media content strategies to boost engagement, followers, and brand awareness.
- Create visually appealing and on-trend content tailored to platforms such as Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to brainstorm ideas, campaigns, and visual storytelling concepts.
- Edit and optimize images, videos, and other media for social media use, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Stay updated on design trends, social media algorithms, and emerging platforms to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Monitor social media performance metrics and adjust designs/content based on audience feedback and analytics.
- Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and creative excellence.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, with a portfolio showcasing creative design work and social media content.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or similar software.
- Experience with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut) is a plus
- Knowledge of branding and marketing principles.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation (e.g., After Effects).
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Basic understanding of SEO and content optimization.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, their unique audiences, and best practices for content creation
Excellent eye for typography, colour theory, and layout design - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, creative mindset
