Job purpose:
The purpose of the role is to sale and market all the company products, as well as create a positive image of the company to the public. The position holder will manage the Shop business and operational areas under the rules, regulations and guidelines of BPIL while ensuring the accomplishment of goals and targets given by management.
Key Responsibilities:
Within delegated authority, the Security Supervisor -investigations will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct inquiries to discover who committed crimes and to gather evidence to prosecute and convict suspects.
- Interview suspects and witnesses, examine evidence and conduct research through computer databases, documentations and other sources.
- Write reports based on their findings and be able to appear in court as witness if required
- Follow up reported cases with police and state authorities, and revert to the Security Commandant for further advice
- Preserve evidence adduced, to ensure its not compromised or destroyed
- Sensitize Security Guards and Coordinators in information gathering and collection of evidence to support investigations
- Conduct continuous supervision of Security Guards assigned and ensure that BPIL biosecurity procedures are properly implemented.
- Ensure that routine patrols are conducted within the assigned premises (In and out).
- Manage the duty roster and leave register for the guards and ensure that the guards take leave.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and report all incidents as and when they occur.
- Handle grievances among the guards, problems, challenges they face on duty and forward them to the security manager for redress.
- Be the security point of contact within communities neighbouring the farm and provide timely feedback to the Security Manager.
- Assessment of site Security Measures/equipment: Assess and report the effectiveness of security equipment at different company locations, by checking the functionality of electric fences, security lights, cctv surveillance equipment and all security installations on BPIL sites.
- Guard force management: Manage the performance of internal and external security guard force to ensure their performance meets and exceeds expectations through daily briefings during parade, regular site spot checks, monitoring attendance and time management, Security SOP enforcement, security guard trainings, guard force motivation etc
- Collect intelligence information through clandestine means with an aim to devise solutions to protect the company from any losses before actual losses happen.
- Conduct Security risk assessments on the different BPIL sites and communicate findings to the Security Commandant for immediate risk management solutions.
- Make daily follow up of goods transfers from one BPIL location to another, through confirmation calls to ensure full deliveries were made, and investigate and report cases where deliveries were not made or made in inadequate quantities.
- Monitor CCTV and car trucking system.
- Provide reports on acts that looks suspicious
- Monitor fueling, siphoning, vehicle diversions and submit reports
- Monitor drivers’ driving behaviors including skidding, instant breaking, Over loading , driving on unauthorized routes and submit reports
- Support security manager during accident investigations
- Submit access control violations and any other illegal offenses monitored through cctv
- Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time

Education:
- Diploma in Business related training, Social Sciences or Security Related field
